Professional Development
Short, practical courses that build the clinical, behavioural and safety capabilities needed across aged care, disability and community settings. Two formats for every topic — a focused one-day refresher, or a comprehensive two-to-three day program with case studies and workplace practice.
These are non-accredited courses and do not lead to a statement of attainment or a nationally recognised qualification.
Our PD program
Ten focused programs across nursing, individual support, disability, aged care and workplace safety. Each course is delivered by trainers with current industry currency and issues a Statement of Participation suitable for AHPRA CPD evidence.
Wound Management for Aged Care, NDIS and Community Settings
Confident wound assessment, classification and dressing selection — within scope of practice.
Management of Challenging Behaviours and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
Trauma-informed, PBS-aligned practice — de-escalation, environmental triggers, and the regulated framework for restrictive practices.
Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation in Care Facilities
Practical fire safety, warden duties and resident evacuation — aligned to AS 3745.
Two formats, multiple delivery modes
One-day format
4–7 contact hours. Focused refresher and skills update — ideal for compliance cycles, induction and CPD evidence.
Comprehensive format
2–3 days, 12–18 contact hours. Deeper, application-rich version with case studies, scenario practice and a workplace project.
Delivery modes
Face-to-face at Kilkenny, hybrid (online pre-work + skills day), live virtual classroom, or in-house on-site at your service.
Certificate of completion
Statement of Participation issued by AISC (RTO 45269). Hours suitable for AHPRA CPD evidence and aged care / NDIS worker training records.
