Student Support and Wellbeing
At the Australian Institution of Sciences (AISC), your success is about more than completing a qualification. We support you from your first enquiry through to graduation and beyond — academically, personally and practically — so that nothing stands between you and your next step.
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to manage it alone. Our team is here to listen, connect you with the right help, and keep you moving forward.
Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) — in partnership with SYC
AISC partners with SYC, one of the Skills SA–contracted Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) providers, to give eligible students access to free, personalised support that goes beyond the classroom.
Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) is a Skills SA program that pairs you with a dedicated Success and Wellbeing Coach for one-on-one support throughout your training journey.
Your coach can help you with things like:
- Tackling life challenges that get in the way of study — including family, housing, financial stress, mental health and disability
- Building your study skills and confidence in an adult learning environment
- In-class and practical learning assistance
- Connecting you with support services in your community
- Planning your next step into employment or further study after you complete
SWS is free to you — there is no cost to access this support. It works alongside the support AISC already provides; it does not replace it. SWS is a non-clinical support service and does not provide medical, clinical or emergency health care.
How to access SWS:
- Ask your trainer or the AISC Student Support team to refer you (with your consent), or
- Refer yourself at any time using SYC’s online Success and Wellbeing Services referral form, or
- Use the Find my Success and Wellbeing Provider tool on the MyTraining website to request a call back.

SWS is funded by Skills SA and is free for eligible Skills SA–subsidised students (and fee-for-service students studying alongside subsidised students). To be eligible for Skills SA subsidy, you must live or work in South Australia and meet the Participant Eligibility Criteria. SWS is not available for fee-for-service-only or non-accredited Professional Development students. SWS supports students facing complex personal or learning challenges that affect their ability to stay in training and complete their course. Eligibility is determined by Skills SA and SYC — talk to the AISC Student Support team or SYC to check whether SWS is right for you.
