This professional development course builds clinical confidence in assessing, classifying and dressing acute and chronic wounds — every step within scope of practice for ENs, RNs, AINs and senior support workers.

What you’ll learn

• Apply a structured wound assessment using the TIME / TIMERS framework
• Classify pressure injuries (Stage 1–4, Unstageable, SDTI) using Australian guidelines
• Select appropriate dressing categories and rationalise dressing change frequency
• Identify signs of clinical infection and escalate appropriately
• Document wound progress and photograph in line with privacy and clinical record standards
