Description:
- This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
- These individuals take responsibility for their own outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
- The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
- To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
- No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Pre-requisites for Students
- There are no pre-requisites for this qualification or any of the units of competency contained within it.

Entry Requirements for Students
- There are no pre-requisites for this qualification, or any units of competency contained within it. This course is currently available to candidates who can provide evidence that they are working in a direct support role in the Aged care or Disability sector.
- Students will have employer support for their participation in the course and or be employed on a traineeship, full or part time. Students will be working at least 15 hours a week in the disability or Aged care support role.
- Australian Institution of Sciences screens learners according to the following criteria:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Have sound language, literacy, and numeracy skills* (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
- Have basic computer skill
- *Learners who do not meet the LLN requirements of the course may still be enrolled and will be assisted where practical. However, if their LLN skills are not sufficient to complete the course, they will be referred to a specialist in developing their LLN skills, potentially the TAFE closest to their place of residence in Australia

To achieve a CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) a total of 15 units of competency must be completed (9 core units and 6 elective units).

- Total Tuition Fee: $2,250 ($150 per Unit)
- Non-tuition fees: $250 (Non-Refundable)

- Non-refundable enrolment deposit (prior to commencement) - $250
- 2 Installments of $1,125 each, at 6 months intervals (1st installment within 1st week of course commencement)

- Nationally Recognised Training does not occur GST.
- Students will only be eligible to receive their qualification if fees have been paid in full and all course requirements have been met.
