Description:
  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a range of community settings and peoples’ homes, who provide support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing.
  • Workers promote a person-centred approach, work according to and may contribute to an individualised plan, and work without direct supervision.
  • They may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.
  • The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.

Course Description
  • Pre-requisites for Students

    • Have completed CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) OR CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) OR CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS CHCSS0125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set
  • Entry Requirements for Students

    • In addition to the above pre-requisites, this course is currently available to candidates who can provide evidence that they are working in a direct support role in the Aged-care or Disability sector
    • Students will have employer support for their participation in the course and or be employed on a traineeship, full or part time. Students will be working at least 15 hours a week in the disability or Agedcare support role
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Have basic computer skill
    • Meet the Australian Core Skills Framework requirements for the course*

Course Structure

To achieve a CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support a total of 10 units of competency must be completed (7 core units and 3 elective units).

Fees and Funding Options
  • Domestic Students:

    • Total Tuition Fee: $2,250 ($225 per Unit)
    • Non-tuition fees: $250 (Non-Refundable)
    • Total Fees: $2,500
  • Payment Plan

    • Non-refundable enrolment deposit (prior to commencement) - $250
    • 2 Installments of $1,125 each, at 6 months intervals (1st installment within 1st week of course commencement)

  • Extra Info

    • Nationally Recognised Training does not occur GST.
    • Students will only be eligible to receive their qualification if fees have been paid in full and all course requirements have been met.
    • AISC reserves the right to vary Material Fees without prior notice; whereas tuition fees will not change after you have started the course.
