Designed for experienced support workers, this qualification deepens your expertise in person-centred behaviour supports, mental health awareness, complex care, and facilitating community participation.

    Assessment is simulated — no mandatory vocational placement is required — making this ideal if you're working while studying. Targeted workplace assessment visits are integrated into HLTWHS003 (Maintain Work Health and Safety) to validate competency in real workplace settings.

    The course runs for 26 weeks via Blended Learning, with face-to-face classes, online study via the eSkilled LMS, and small class sizes of 25 students or fewer.

    Eligibility

    Entry Requirements

    This qualification has mandatory prerequisite requirements.

    ⚠ Mandatory Prerequisite

    A Certificate III prerequisite is mandatory for this qualification: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, OR CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, OR CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability plus the Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support skill set (CHCSS00125). AISC verifies your prior qualification before confirming enrolment.

    Age Requirement

    Must be 18 years of age or older at course commencement.

    Education

    No specific prior schooling level is required. Entry to this qualification is through the mandatory Certificate III prerequisite, together with an LLND assessment and a pre-enrolment interview.

    Language, Literacy & Numeracy

    LLND at ACSF Level 3 or above. Assessment completed during the application process.

    Unique Student Identifier (USI)
