    The Certificate III in Individual Support reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

    With a dual specialisation in Ageing and Disability, you'll graduate qualified to work across both sectors — giving you more career options and greater flexibility in the job market.

    Delivered via Blended Learning (Face-to-Face + Online), the course spans 24 weeks across three phases: 16 weeks classroom training, 5 weeks online self-paced study, and 3 weeks (120 hours) of supervised workplace placement.

    You'll learn from experienced industry trainers in small classes of no more than 25 students.

    Entry Requirements

    No prior qualifications in community services are required. Here's what you need to get started.

    Age Requirement

    Must be 18 years of age or older at course commencement.

    Education

    Completed Year 10 in an Australian secondary school system (or equivalent), OR demonstrated relevant life/work experience.

    Language, Literacy & Numeracy

    LLND at ACSF Level 3 or above. Assessment completed during the application process.

    Unique Student Identifier (USI)

    A valid USI is required for enrolment. Create one at www.usi.gov.au.

    The course runs for 24 weeks: 16 weeks of face-to-face classroom training (27 hours/week, Monday to Thursday), 5 weeks of online self-paced learning, and 3 weeks of supervised workplace placement. AISC operates rolling intakes.
